This agreement covers:

You must have the capacity and authority to enter into this agreement with us on behalf of the organisation seeking funding or the potential funder. Do not use the Service before reading this agreement.

Definitions used:

“Services” refers to the use of Sponsor Scientific’s website, the publication of project listings on www.sponsorscientific.com and resulting contacts made between an organisation seeking funding and a potential funder

“Terms” refers to the Terms and Conditions of Service set out in this agreement

“we/us” refers to the company Sponsor Scientific Ltd registered in England, at 127 Essex Road, Hampshire, PO48DH with company no 12931804

www.sponsorscientific.com” refers to the website owned and operated by Sponsor Scientific

“You” refers to your organisation whether you are the organisation seeking funding or the potential funder

“Funder” refers to the organisation considering funding the organisation seeking funding

“Material” refers to the copy, contact information and other information submitted to us for listing on www.sponsorscientific.com

“Listing” refers to the page on www.sponsorscientific.com where your material is published

Submission

You may submit material to us to be considered for listing by way of a web form.

We reserve the right to accept or reject submissions for any reason we deem appropriate, which we are not obliged to disclose.

High-quality, relevant projects will be selected by us for free listing and free promotion.

In general, projects considered suitable would:

  • Be run by registered, credible and reputable organisations (Charity, University etc.)
  • Have a connection to science, technology, engineering, medicine, health or education
  • Be likely to have positive impact on society, including educational
  • Be seeking funds in the £50,000-£5M+ range
  • Be free of business/commercial or political agendas
  • Be on a topic/subject that we deem relevant for the funder audiences we are targeting
  • Clearly explain to what purpose the funds will be put whether general or specific/restricted

Your Material

Your submitted material must disclose the total value of the funding sought. Please contact us at hello@sponsorscientific.com to discuss it if you have concerns about doing this.

You retain sole responsibility and liability for the content of your material, including where we have suggested or required improvements to the material.

You must carefully check your materials to ensure they are not misleading, obscene, defamatory, fraudulent, or libelous, and shall not give cause directly or indirectly for action to be brought against us. You must ensure they comply with the code of the UK Fundraising Regulator, the Committee of Advertising Practice’s British Code, the GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Information Commission (ICO) and the EU Privacy and Electronic Communications Directive 2002. You must have the right to use such materials including copyright or permission.

You must check our editorial guidance page (on www.sponsorscientific.com) for how to write a suitable project listing.

We will not be held responsible for any error or omission which appears on the listing, however if you are unhappy with anything you may contact us at hello@sponsorscientific.com at any time to request a correction or to ask for the listing to be removed.

You grant us an exclusive, ongoing worldwide license to publish your material on www.sponsoscientific.com and disseminate and share it to target audiences through marketing channels such as newsletters, SEO, media articles, presentations, social media, blogging and paid-for advertising.

Target audiences might include corporates, advertising and PR agencies, philanthropic trusts, foundations plus groups of individuals active in these and related areas.

Our right to publish your name and contact details

We need to collect and process your personal details to provide the services described in this document. How we process these is covered by our Privacy Policy available at our website.

We may choose to but do not guarantee to hide your identity and contact details from the public website and marketing. We retain the right at any stage and without prior warning to make these public. If we choose to hide your contact details, then we will endeavor to track who sees full contact details but we cannot prevent these being shared by other parties therefore spreading beyond their original intended audiences.

We may choose to hide the name and contact details associated with organisations seeking funding for business reasons such as to be able to encourage potential funders to contact us to ask for these, so that we can track such interest, for analysis of our performance and website performance, and to provide you with feedback on the levels of interest your listing is receiving.

We may share your contact and project details with individuals who request these and who present themselves to us as potential funders or organisations seeking funding. This includes the agencies who present themselves as representing potential funders.  We may pass your contact details onto such individuals or make introductions by email.

Although we do not currently plan to publish the names or contact details of potential funders on our website, they will be shared as described above with organisations seeking funding. We cannot therefore guarantee that funders’ contact details will not be shared onwards by other parties spreading beyond their original intended audiences.

Responsibilities, Warranties and Liabilities

We make no warranties or guarantees about the identity or suitability of any potential funders or organisations seeking funding who we introduce to each other. Organisations are solely responsible for verifying other organisations’ credentials and suitability, and we will not be held liable for any damages or costs that arise directly or indirectly from having made such an introduction or connection.

We are not liable for any loss of material, income or reputation you experience from our service.

Our total liability shall not exceed the total of any fees you have paid to us for our services.

You agree to indemnify us against all losses and costs including legal costs arising from your breach of these Terms.

We reserve the right to remove or otherwise unpublish your project listing at any time and for any reason we deem appropriate without prior notice.

You can at any time request your project listing is removed or updated by emailing hello@sponsorscientific.com

Complaints procedure

If you are not satisfied with the service you have received we want to know. Please contact us in the first instance to explain 1) the reason for your complaint 2) what you believe should be done to amend or correct what has happened. We will make every effort to resolve problems.

Changes to these Terms

If any part of these terms are found to be invalid or unenforceable, these parts only will be amended, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions can be made at any time without prior notice and shall be communicated to you by whatever means we deem necessary including

  • email including newsletter (if subscribed)
  • website banner/announcement
  • The webform used for submitting your material for listing

If updated Terms are not acceptable to you, then you must stop using the service to avoid being bound by the new Terms.
