Sponsor Scientific was started in 2020 by Dr. Samia Burridge.
Samia has a first-class degree in chemistry and completed doctoral research in earth sciences and oceanography. She has worked as a science writer, publisher and business development manager. She spent her career at the Nature journals and a science charity working across the various areas of fundraising. She is now on a mission to connect organisations to funders who want to support science.
Samia has a track record of developing new, high value funding relationships, including strategic corporate partnerships and sponsorships.
Her editorial experience includes grant writing, developing strategic plans, impact case studies, science writing, peer reviewed articles, copywriting for marketing and PR, and developing sponsorship proposals.
Samia values quality, integrity, and independence. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising.
